Due to the political situation in the world our country faced very serious challenges. In 2022, after the start of the special military operation (SMO), the European notified bodies revoked CE and ISO 13485 certificates from the Russian exporters of medical equipment, thereby striving to deprive the right to sell and deliver their products in the international markets from the Russian manufacturers of medical equipment.
The AEMTOP Association was actively engaged in solving the given problem, so that Russian registration certificates should be recognized as the equivalent to the American and European certificates (CE, FDA).
In 2022, a Congress of pharmaceutical and medical industry workers was held, where acute issues were discussed, including the sale of medical equipment in the context of the introduction of economic restrictions against the Russian Federation. Important decisions were made, so the task of ensuring technological independence in healthcare became particularly relevant.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation held a number of meetings and conferences on stimulating the promotion of medical products in the foreign markets as well. The AEMTOP Association sent out letters to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, with relevant proposals and solutions to the problem. The Association tried to convey the importance and the core of the given problem to our country leaders.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Manturov D.V. visited the company LLC "Neurosoft" Ivanovo (photo). After the visit, a videoconference was held devoted to the previously mentioned subject, and the AEMTOP Association received a response from the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
As a result, measures will be developed to combine the efforts of the state and business for the production of medical products based on acceleration of the technological development of the industry, as well as proposals to improve the product circulation regulation system and strengthen government support in providing medical facilities with medical equipment.
The event was organized by the Nizhny Novgorod Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
More than 30 Nizhny Novgorod companies held talks with foreign companies from Belarus, Egypt, Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates.
The reverse business mission was organized by the Nizhny Novgorod Export Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Nizhny Novgorod region under the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship".
Maxim Cherkasov:
"Today Nizhny Novgorod companies continue to develop new directions for foreign trade. The local enterprises are supported by specialists from the regional Export Support Center at all stages of entering the markets of friendly countries. For example, they organize face-to-face meetings with potential foreign partners. Thus, during the reverse business mission, a distributor of food and beverages, a supplier of medical equipment, an importer of dairy products, as well as a manufacturer of tractor equipment visited the region."
The companies were able to discuss options for future cooperation at the site of the Nizhny Novgorod Export Center – more than 50 negotiations took place in total.
Representatives of the foreign delegation also visited the production sites of three regional enterprises: OOO “Peter Telegin”, Aikon Lab GmbH LLC, “Shakhunskoye milk” LLC.
Olga Astapenko, Head of the Evaluation, Supplier Selection and Claims Department at Minsk Tractor Works: "The company currently works with ten Nizhny Novgorod organizations. This market is interesting for us, and we are ready to expand our cooperation. We got to know some of our partners from the region during the events organized by the Nizhny Novgorod Export Center and the Ministry of Industry. So, in March of this year, we hosted a delegation from the region at the production site of our plant. And now we have come to pay a return visit. Our needs include rubber products, adhesives, paint coatings, electronics and hydraulics"
Dmitry Zhidkov, Commercial Director of Green Plus 1000 LLC:
"Our company is engaged in wholesale trade and processing of various goods; the product categories include meat, dried fruits, nuts and lumber. We got acquainted with the work of the Nizhny Novgorod Export Center at the seminar that the Center’s specialists held in Dzershinsk last year. After that, we took part in negotiations with representatives of the company from Tajikistan during their visit to our region. The communication brought results – we signed a contract for the supply of lumber to Tajikistan. Recently, we took part in a meeting organized by the Nizhny Novgorod Export Center again, this time we talked with companies from Egypt and the UAE. It turned out to be a very productive dialogue. I am sure that now planes and ships will not go empty in the wrong direction".
